THE IMPORTANCE OF PH IN AGRICULTURE AND FERTILIZATION: TREATMENTS AND IRRIGATION
08 oct. 2020
The pH is a measure of the acidity or alkalinity of an aqueous solution, with a variable value between 0 and 14. Below a pH value of 7, solutions are acidic, and above a pH value of 7, they are basic. A pH value of 7 indicates a neutral solution, which is associated with the pH of pure water. Knowledge of the pH value is crucial in numerous stages of agriculture. As a general rule, the optimal pH for agricultural applications should be slightly acidic, between pH 5-6.
Conversion of Traditional Olive Groves
07 oct. 2020
We understand traditional olive groves as those constituted by centuries-old olive trees, spaced widely apart in expansive exploitation patterns, ranging from 9x9 to 14x14. In numerous seminars and congresses related to olive groves and olive oil, the conclusion of many experts in this sector is always the same: "Traditional olive groves must be transformed." This conclusion is reached by acknowledging that the future of the sector lies in maximum mechanization. We must not forget that the serious problem with traditional olive groves is the low or nonexistent profitability in a market with low olive oil prices.
PRUNING OF THE YOUNG PLANT AND THE OLIVE TREE FROM A TRUNK
06 oct. 2020
The plant world is a living world. The pruner is the surgeon of these beings, and their skillful work requires a minimum of knowledge that is within the reach of anyone, as well as certain dexterity and a great deal of rigor in practice. In the olive tree, as in any fruit tree, three pruning stages must be considered:
VIBRADORES DE TRONCOS EN EL OLIVAR - PARTE 1: CONCEPTOS TEORICOS Y TIPOS
18 sep. 2020
